A domaine holding of 0.25ha in the upper part of Narvaux. Pale lemon colour. The nose is tight and fine, the wine on the palate is excellent, with a concentration of white fruit with a lemon and lime tingle behind. Good length too. A balance of concentration and mineral zest.

(Outstanding) – Pungent aromas of reduction and enough wood to notice give way to racy, intense and precise mineral-driven middle weight flavors that conclude in a lemony and chiseled finish that is at once youthfully austere and highly persistent. This linear and well-made effort should repay 6 to 9 years of keeping.
Pierre Girardin
Pierre Girardin, an emerging star in Burgundy, is a name to watch. He comes from a renowned family of winemakers. His father, Vincent Girardin, sold his well-known domaine in 2012, but Pierre has benefited from his father’s contacts and experience and retained a selection of top vineyards. As a result, Pierre has quickly built an impressive portfolio.
Pierre aims for excellence at every step of the production process. His viticulture practices are based on organic principles, and he uses specially made 456-liter barrels, which ensures a subtler influence of new oak and enhances the finesse and purity of his wines.
Terroir
The Les Narvaux vineyard is producing wines of remarkable purity and tension, often seen as the epitome of Meursault’s more mineral-driven expression. Situated just above the premier cru vineyards of Genevrières and Poruzots, Les Narvaux enjoys a prime hillside position with excellent south and southwest exposure.
The elevation ensures cooler conditions that preserve freshness and precision in the Chardonnay grapes. The soils are predominantly thin, stony limestone and marl, forcing the vines to root deeply and contributing to the wine’s signature minerality and finesse.
