Bibi Graetz

History & Vision

Bibi Graetz Tuscany wines reflect the imagination and artistic spirit of one of Italy’s most original winemakers. Born into a family of artists in Florence, Bibi Graetz studied painting before turning his creative energy toward wine. In the late 1990s, he started with a few hectares of old vines around the hills of Fiesole. From the beginning, his goal was not to follow established rules but to express Tuscany in a new, personal way.

Flagship Wines

The estate quickly earned international recognition for two flagship wines. Testamatta, a pure Sangiovese, combines intensity with elegance and vibrant fruit. Colore, a rare blend from ancient vineyards, shows depth, structure, and remarkable complexity. In addition, Bibi Graetz crafts several single-vineyard wines that highlight Tuscany’s unique terroirs. As a result, his portfolio ranges from highly collectible bottlings to expressive everyday wines.

Winemaking Style

Bibi Graetz approaches winemaking with both respect and freedom. He works with old vines, often planted on steep slopes, and avoids chemical intervention. Harvesting is done by hand, and fermentations rely on natural yeasts. Therefore, the wines remain authentic and alive. His methods combine traditional Tuscan grape varieties with a modern artistic vision. Moreover, he treats each vintage as a blank canvas, allowing creativity to guide the process.

Global Reputation

Collectors and sommeliers admire Bibi Graetz Tuscany wines for their character and originality. Because the wines unite freshness with depth, they appeal both to casual drinkers and serious wine lovers. Today, the estate is recognized as a symbol of innovation in Tuscany. Furthermore, critics consistently rank Testamatta and Colore among the finest Italian wines.

Legacy

For this reason, Bibi Graetz Tuscany wines stand out as both authentic and visionary. Each bottle reflects not only Tuscan terroir but also the unique imagination of the winemaker. In every vintage, Bibi Graetz proves that art and wine can share the same canvas.
